    Re: Yellow 2004 Bird?

The real concern here should not be whether it is IG or whatever shade. The question should be what is being hidden? Why take a beautiful o4 Merlot and paint it Inca Gold? Nothing wrong with IG don't mis-understand me, but I'll bet a IG could have been found to purchase instead of the cost of the paint.

AND did you see how abused the driver's seat appears?

I still think the color change was to cover over something.

It's painted inspiration Yellow, not Inca Gold.

Ok, I'll buy that. It sure looks just like my Inca Gold color, but on a computer screen, nothing is for sure.

I think the Merlot color is very, very nice, so I agree that this color change must be due to hiding some defect.

Oh, I don't know...sandman was wanting to buy a Bird and redo it in a particular color of yellow, a while back.
Could be the previous owner of this Merlot was after the same.
            Just wanted a yellow Bird.

....When they first were available, there was a chap in town, who bought a new Bond 'Bird and painted it an odd shade of blue with matching blue seat inserts.....One Bond 'Bird....obliterated!....why? who knows?....because he wanted a white interior?...or maybe just because he can?

I respect your opinion, but I would like to hear from others of the 82 people who have an Inca Gold vehicle. The one closest to me (which has been in several of my cruises) is definitely more subdued, more pastel, softer yellow.
C'mon Keith, lets have your take on this.
OK here's my unprofessional take- Inca Gold.
It is more subdued than IY which is more lemon to me.
The IG has a green cast to it depending on the sunlight or shade.
You have our $$ Tom and we are looking forward to another of your cruises.

I guess the dealer doesn't consider the seats to be part of the car when he states the car is flawless.

"Flawless" to a car salesman is way different from "flawless" to a Quality Analyst (me) or a diamond merchant. With car salesmen, they range from decent and honest (a great, trusted friend of mine) to sleezball liars (the 25 year kid that sold us a used Xterra in June 2010).... caught him in 3 lies.

Sounds like this guy is closer to the second type.
                      Thanks

Have someone check the VIN on the dash to see if it matches the door, could be someone salvaged a merlot door and painted it to repair or hide something on this car.

TOM, THIS MAY NOT BE 2002 YELLOW, BUT IT SURE IS NOT 2005 INCA GOLD.
