        Re: Questions 66 convert

        6Y85Q133243 --- 6 = 1966, Y - Wixom Plant, 85 = Convertible, Q = 428 Engine

        Data Plate 75A U P7 30M 33 A 4

        75A (Probably 76A) = Convertible
        U = Tahoe Turquoise Metallic
        P7 = white seats with headrests, and turquoise accents
        30M = made in December 30.
        33 = Delivered to Detroit area distribution
        A = 3.00:1 Equalock rear end (Positraction)
        4 - C6 transmission

        Value depends on condition, mileage and lots of other factors. Do you have pictures and more info? If you want, send me the info and pictures. PM me for my email address.

          WOW! David I'm impressed. Where does a person find that type of information so quickly?

            Mike: I own a 66 Convertible, so I happened to have all that info. There are web sites and clubs out there that give out this info, a simple google usually comes up with them.

              Steve: The speed control was a factory option for '66 ('64 was first year option) but the spotlight was most likely put on by the dealer if it was ordered for the car when new. It would have a C4 part number on it. One very rare and expensive option for that car if it is the correct one.

                Thank you. Where should the part number be ? inside ,outside ?

                    For an item like that it was probably on the box and the window bracket would have a 'unity number' on it specific to the '64 T'bird.
                    This is the Ford part number C4SZ 15313-A (L.H.) Only came for left side.
                    Had an NOS one for years to put on our '66 but could not bring myself to drill the hole through the windshield piller. Sold it on ebay.

                        Steve: What you have on your Bird is the Ford spotlight . Used on '65 Ford, Fairlane and Mustang. Not that there is anything wrong with that as it looks great on your car and can be matched up with a right side spotlight, if you like spotlights that is. Most people looking at it will not know the difference. For your info, will try to attach a picture to show the difference.
                        Also, if the Bird is new to you and you are not aware, there may be a ROT sheet (build sheet) under one of your rear seats or seat backs. (if they are the original seats or the mice have not gotten to it.) It would show most options and standard equipment that came on your car when new. Also available is the Factory invoice that can be obtained if you do not already have it from 'Marti Auto'. Very nice items to have and both would have your VIN to match the car.

                          CORRECT!! I am the 3rd owner of my 64. I found it stapled under the rear center armrest flap.

                            I have scrapped a few of these over the years Dave, and worked on many others but don't recall ever finding one stapled to the rear armrest flap. Under the carpet; front seats and rear seats, tucked under the springs and the backs of the rear seat. Nice item to have in your Bird's file. Have also found some with a Lincoln ROT attached to it either it was ahead or behind the Bird on the line. Oh, and let's not forget above the headliner
