Whisper White vs. Performance White Hardtop

I am considering purchasing a Thunderbird White Hardtop that I have found for sale on the internet. Seller does not know if it is the Whisper White or the Performance White. I myself do not know the exact difference. Can someone tell me what the difference is in the two colors and if they are not being viewed side by side, how does one know for sure which color his top is?

Performance White is a "brighter" white - whisper white has a more cream white look.

I'm curious, where is the top located? It might be the one I looked at for some members.

What color car did it come off of. If any other than Whisper white then its Performance White.

Someone from Minnesota recently bought my Torch Red '05 which had a factory original Performance White hard-top. I hope they are not breaking up the set (I still am hoping to get a crack at buying the car back one day).

My '05 Torch Red came with a PERFORMANCE WHITE hardtop from the factory.

What color is your car? If is isn't white, and you want a white contrasting top, either color will work fine.

I could be wrong, but My performance white is solid white and I believe the whisper white is a pearl with fine metalics. Someone with a whisper white should know...John

Whisper White isn't pearl nor does it have any fine metallics. Simply a white, but more off white than the bright white like the Performance White. I had a Whisper White as a second top for my Cashmere for a short time.

Whisper White as posted is a creamy white. It is similar (but a little whiter) to the white seen on Ford Cars in the 1960s.

Bradford, you are right, I was wrong! No pearl or metalics in WW.
Whisper White aka Ceramic White code W5 -1 pint contains 476 grams white,1 gram red oxide,10.6 grams black,and 21.9 grams yellow oxide.
While Performance White code WT contains 504 grams white,.6 grams red oxide, 1.6 grams black and 6 grams transparent yellow.
looks like WW is more of a creamy white than Performance White. John
