    Top is off

    Weather has been nice past week. Today I took the top off and enjoyed first top down drive of 2011. Although temp was not higher than 54F it was great with the sun out all day.

    Put the top down on the Galaxie Friday.

    Then I parked it and completely disassembled the motor.

    Already I'm losing sleep over this project.

      Thanks for the post Frits. It was in the low 80s here today. Since we had a couple of kids to take the hard top off last week, the Bird was ready.

      This afternoon, nurse Margaret looked at me and ordered me to get dressed. She said she was going to do some "top down driving" (she doesn't drive that much) while I did some "top down riding". So we headed up the beautiful Natchez Trace. We had a short ride, but it sure was nice being able to get out.

        Frits - I know the feeling...couple of 80 degree days last week, so MD was top-down. Cooler today...Goldi has her top on...almost time to switch out for the summer (Goldi goes topless, and MD looks 'cool' with his porthole in the summer).

              Fritz! You inspired me!!First day of spring and my son in law was here for dinner. Had him help me remove the hard top. It's been fun every year getting a cool convertable for the spring and summer. Hope you have some nice spring weather.. Tim

                    Just did not get around to putting the top on this year - Yes I heard it about not getting the hard top on for the second year. But we do get nice days year round and I have been known to drive with the top down and the heated seats turned on. Nothing better to make a Great Day than a short drive with the top down - anytime.

                    Please send us some rain this way. I cannot remember the last time we had rain and we are way behind. Have had a number of bad grass fires the past couple of weeks.

                      David and I cruised down the Natchez today, top down and tunes going. It was a great way to welcome in Spring. Hot Springs here we come!
