    Rosebud said his Sears didn't have one with a vent tube. Did the one you bought, Keith, have a vent tube?

    Never mind the question, Keith. I reread your first posts about it. Strange that the same numbers thru Sears in WA would not have vent tubes.

      Tony, our old 02 battery is still going strong. Guess it just depends on the individual battery as to how long it lasts.

      as for the radiator fluid, don't know much about it.depends on the color type according to the book as to how often to change it.

        Batteries probably last longer on the T-bird because the battery is in the trunk and a long way from the heat of the engine bay which probably is responsible for killing many batteries earlier than they could have died on their own.
        21 years, 174K miles, 48 States X 2 & DC, 9 Canadian provinces, 8 European countries, 3 Caribbean Islands, 3 Hawaiian Islands, 100+ National Park locations, 150+ T-bird events, 190+ retrobird diecasts/models, 13 TOTM pics & some very special friends...THANKS TBN !

          My 2005 Bird's battery died yesterday. Same symptoms, hard to turn over, then the alarms went off ! Did'nt lose radio stations but lost my trip meters.
          Went to L/M dealer, 1 hour and $119 later, all set !
          Not bad, the battery lasted 6 years down here in sunny Florida.

            batt went toast today, symptoms..alarm,flash lites, no start...2 ford dealers no stock, my tire shop/mech no stock, sears no stock......batteries plus had 3 different ones 650/750/850 crank amps...series 65 all with vents.$94.95 to 104.95. went with the best $124.90 installed with tax....30 min out the door. 04 with orig batt up to today....

              My 04 has 18,000 and still the original battery ! No problems
