Recently I noticed a two small blemishes (or bubbles) on the inside edge of my chromed center windshield trim. Is that piece still available and has anyone had it replaced? Thanks!

Re: Center chrome windshield section
Replaced the center and left sections last week. Dropped two nuts down the frame, but had spares on hand. All in all took about 1 1/2 to do. Thankfully the right(passenger) section is in good shape. I haven't been able to find that part anywhereRex

Re: Center chrome windshield section
Keep an eye on eBay. I bought the center trim piece (3W6Z-7650046-AA) today on eBay for $93.34 with shipping. No more listed by the seller now.Never grow up. Enjoy life while you can

Re: Center chrome windshield section
Hey guys to prevent loosing your nuts when removing the trim form a tube from stiff paper with an inside diameter slightly larger than your socket. Make it long enough to extend out beyond the frame. When the nut falls out of the socket it falls in the tube and out onto the floor. These nuts are special and Ford charges a lot for them. I am waiting for the ceneter section to get a little worse before I install my replacement.

I've been lucky never had to do this but reading about it if I do have to do it I'll do like we did when working .... put a little caulking in the socket to hold the nut.sigpic
