  • Inca Gold Market

Wondering if anybody knows what low mileage Inca Gold 2005 T-birds are settliong for these days, and or availability; as I am kicking around the idea of aquiring an Inca one day. Also wondering if the Inca Gold came with gold leather wrap on the steering wheel and shifter, accented interior, or white top, etc. Oh, I guess I'll take a look at Dot's pages to find out about those details.

      Re: Inca Gold Market

Mine came with a black leather wrap steering wheel and black leather interior. The gearshift knob is black plastic. I'm going to change the wheel and knob to wood from a Lincoln LS which fits perfectly and uses the TBird horn pad.

Availabilty; less than 2 average per state if you take 82/ 50 states.
Definately the rarest color and it never made the Tbird catalog.
Mine has the black accent and I like it that way. No wood for me or any other mods.
The roof has been on it twice.
To be honest I'd prob. drive it more than the 2,700 miles if it were a different color.
I try to remind myself its just a Ford but it feels more like a classic car with all of the current amenities

Maybe rare but far from my choice for color. I'd paint it if I had one ..

Gee what color would you paint it, black?
To each his own and we LOVE the color which is obviously personal to each owner.

I see a gold bird and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want it to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black!
With flowers and my love, both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a newborn baby it just happens ev'ryday
No more will my gold bird go turn into '02 blue
I could not forsee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me before the morning comes
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see torch red bird and it has been painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black
I see torch red bird and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
                Hmm, hmm, hmm...
I wanna see it painted black, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun, blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black
                Yeah

There's hardly a day that goes by without someone complementing the color on my Inca. It looks even better at night under a mercury light when it gets a green tint.

Hey Jon, with remorse, I have sold my Torch Red bird. But the T-Bird connoiseur in me thinks that the Inca Gold would make for a super interersting replacement. I've heard that they must be seen in person to be fully appreciated; because of their unique color, they are perhaps a bit more sensitive to lighting and shadowing.

It is definitely a unique color, and I can appreciate some people not liking it, but I just love it. Just my luck, I live in Manassas, VA, and every now and then I see two others (I know it is not the same one, because of the different license plates). So, three Inca Golds in the same city!
