I know this thread is like beating a dead horse. But it is time.for tires and i don't care for what is on the car. Has anyone used the continental extreme contact DSW tires. I am looking for a tire that grips really good but also gives a comfort ride. The tires on these cars handle good but i feel every bump in the road.

    Re: tires

I drove them for 10,000 miles. But not on a Bird.
They were OEM on my Mercedes GLK. They did what you want to do. They werer grippy dry and wet, they were quiet, they absorbed irregularities in the road. Of course some of that is dependent on PSI. I ran 33 pounds. No discernible wear after10,000 miles.
When I bot my Bird in Sept last year it had brand new Michelins on it. I will go to the Contis when the Michelins are 1/2 gone.

She was a good one. Sold 12/30/2014.

A lot better car and even more exclusive, but doesn't have the Cachet the Thunderbird had. Adios, mi Amigo.

      Re: tires

I just put a set of the Continental DWS tires on my car. I've driven them less then 100 miles and haven't been on the interstate yet, so I really can't tell but so far so good.

        Re: tires

I have 19" extreme contacts on my Bird and love them. Carry 29 psi cold. They work up to 32 psi on the road and they ride much better than my originals. See pictures in my gallery.
