Nice car Southern good luck and nice meeting you at the cruise.I think I mentioned to you when Isabel and I go out I'll ask her which car and her statement " I still like a little luxury let's take the Cadillac " She likes the T-Bird but for long drives it's the big car.
I sent a pic of your new car to my neighbor who has one like yours and this was his reply:
Ron, that's a great looking car, and a great price. Remind him that for less than $100 he can replace the leather shift knob with a really cool looking wooden one. He can google "wooden shift knobs for jaguars". There are several choices. And for about $150 he can get a new set of Jag mats from the local Jag dealer that will match his interior color. Also, a very good web site, should he need info or just to chat with other Jag owners (sometimes referred to as "cat drivers"), is jag-lovers.org.
You could even drive it to the Birthday Party in November. Remember, it is more about the people than the cars . . . (However, I am sure that the gang will all gather around the Jag for a close up look).

Prev. ride: 93 Thunderbird LX - Mocha Frost.
Hey Ron, thanks. Geeze haven't seen you in....a week?
And thanks to everybody else for the good wishes.
Spence has it right. Kept the Bird. And will keep, and drive, the Bird on a daily basis. Might even keep the Bird longer...as I off load the long miles on to the Jag.
I'll bet the LS seats would bolt in.....if there was room enough for them.....which I doubt.
Other issues.......
First please note that just about everybody else has another car already......so I haven't done anything Radical!
Here's one that I hadn't thought about.
My niece and her husband are visiting in the near future......how do I pick them up at the AP in a Tbird? Hmmmnnnn. hope that Jag gets here soon.
Just wired the money to the dealer.Hope he can get me the car this week, but I understand that he is at the mercy of the flatbed operator.
Get this.......I can ship the car from Pompano Beach to Ft Myers on a Flatbed Truck cheaper than I can fly from Ft Myers to Ft Lauderdale (Next to Pompano Beach).
$200 to ship the car. $262 to ship me. I have GOT to lose some weight!
Ed, here's hoping that you and Isabelle are doing good. Another of my new friends from the Thunder Zoo.
And Keith and Liz...you are right.
First of all, Tom's events are very successful and that is good.
But it is hard to meet 100 people on a 1 day event. So........I didn't meet Keith and Liz but I did meet their car!
But I did meet and talk to Brian...as he was part of "management"......... Thanks a lot guy!
And Sam and nancy.......own a Jag!
Sam and Nancy and Ron and Charlotte and yours truly hung out at the ThunderZoo.
Glad to hear that you guys were safe during the recent Tornados. Tell Nancy that I am still working on my pronunciation of Winston Salem!
Saw Ted's bronze Bird at the Zoo....
As you can tell, I loved the Zoo and am looking forward to the Birthday Bash in the fall.
I guess the only downside about this deal, is that Ford no longer owns Jaguar.
Oh well, I'll live.

Invoice $38,457 - Sold new 9/15/2003
One of twenty two built like this
She was a good one. Sold 12/30/2014.
Replaced with 2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe.
A lot better car and even more exclusive, but doesn't have the Cachet the Thunderbird had. Adios, mi Amigo.
Great car Southern! There are two things on that Jag that I think Ford might have done to improve on our Thunderbird's aesthetics : 1.) the exposedintake plenum, and 2.) The "reversed" hood opening, IMHO. I love both ideas!
Of course, now that I only own an '02, the first item wouldn't pertain.
Nice car, Southern! I have a Linc TC for trips,, but I'm sure the Jag is very comfortable on the road too. Doesn't look any smaller than the Merc. marquis though. How does the wheelbase compare?
Looks like you got it for a good price, and the condition appears fantastic, fo what the pictures reveal! Good luck.
