Put my wings from 02birdman today on the porthole and love the look. It reminds me of the wings that were on the opera windows in my 78 bird, original from the factory. Jeff has done a great job, and his wings add a nice touch.

Are these emblems still available somewhere? I thought they were no longer available.

Paul, these particular emblems are available thru 02birdman. He sometimes sells on ebay or you can pm or email him thru his handle here. He has the copyright on these particular emblems so they are a different style than the Ford Thunderbird emblem on our cars but they are classy in their own right and fit very well on our cars.

I also placed my wings on the portholes about a year ago, and love the look. I didn't know anyone else had done it, but they do look good there!

Is there an aid to help you get the emblems centered and rotated correctly?

I am sure I can manage but was just curious.

Use painters tape or masking tape on the outside to guide placement on the inside of the glass. Measure half way top to bottom and side to side like "crosshairs".

HKS, first of all the top has to be on the car to get the proper level. Best to have a small person get into the back of the car, since it is a tight place,my wife did mine. Jeff will send you all the instructions you will need to get the job done correctly. I used a ruler, marking pen and a small level. Came out perfect. You just have to take your time.
