Sorry folks - I don't think its the 1st time I've made that mistake. Thought I was gonna get killed over my pricing comment. So the Inca was not a special edition? Just a limited color?

Yeah, limited to only 82 people/dealers wanting to order it at the time. Some things are rare for a reason, others by accident.

So rare the color never made the brochure and no one even knew Ford made the decision to add this retro color and it was done for a very short period and by the time it was available most dealers were not ordering many Tbirds at all.

I have a lot of Ford exec. friends and even they never heard of the color.

Most of the cars were shipped to FL.

At Toms Cruise a guy walked up to me and said; "I didn't know they made Inspiration Yellow in 2005".

No one hardly ever sees one as there are less than 2 per state by numbers.

The 007's Coral is another color that never made the brochure.

Nor the Cashmere, did the Monterey Mist? I think the Special Editions only made it into their own promotional cards. Not sure, maybe a PCR owner could chime in regarding the Monterey Mist. I'm sure they know. I have brochures for all years but not able to put my hands on them quickly to check.

THE MONTEREY MIST IS IN THE LATE 2004 BROCHURE, ALONG WITH THE ICE BLUE. THEY ARE ON THE SAME PAGE, THE ONE WHERE THE VMG WAS IN THE FIRST ISSUES. THERE ARE STAND ALONE POSTER TYPE ADDS FOR THE 007, PCR, AND THE CASHMERE. THE PCR IS THE ONLY ONE TO MAKE IT INTO A BROCHURE.

                Amazing; I had no idea.
I'm really surprised the Cashmere did not make the 2005 brochure.
Isn't that considered the official 50th even though all 2005's say 50th?

Yes, The Cashmere is the official anniversary edition and had the only painted grill of any of the retros.

                    Re: Need Group's Help-please.

Welcome to TBN Steve. All good advise above, but I also need to throw in my 2 cents worth. Even with the newest of the Retro Birds at 6 years old, it is still quite common to find for sale by the original owner a garage-kept, all the original accessories and paper work very low mileage. These are usually not bargain-basement priced (recently found a 2005 w/hardtop, less than 10K miles, asking $24,000), and you may have to travel several hundred miles. I guess it just depends on where your priorities lie. If you haven't already checked it out, Dot's Porthole Authority site mentioned above has a check list of every single item that originally came with the car so you'll know if anything is missing (for example the mylar strip kit with T-bird logo that came with hardtop equipped cars starting in 2004). Whatever you choose, just plan to enjoy the ownership experience.
