  • Dealer Recommendation

As some of you may know, our A/C failed on our first day of travel to Texas Thunder. We were in a small town in MO and first thought we'd just tough it out until we got home. But . . . a day of driving in the heat proved that wasn't a good plan.

We checked TBN and learned how to check for codes, did that, determined it was most likely a part was needed.

Traveled on to Oklahoma City to Reynolds Ford/Lincoln/Mercury. Of course, never happy about repair costs, but the dealer couldn't have been better. Shuttle driver carried us to our hotel. Car was done before promised time. Shuttle driver picked us up and even drove through a Braum's so we could get a sandwich before picking up the car.

Great Service at Reynolds Ford, Oklahoma City!!

Glad you got your car fixed. What was the part needed and was it covered by ESP?

Also curious what the problem was, was it the water control valve?

We don't have extended warranty. It was the dual control valve and evap sensor. The codes from the self test we learned about on TBN did diagnose the problem. (27 98 and 12 65) The dealer was really good and, oh well, it's only money and we can't take it with us.

The event was so much fun we've forgotten about the cost!
