Sold my "2FAST4U" Thunderbird yesterday...

[2FAST4U]

Well, I finally sold my '02 blue Thunderbird yesterday. ...It's time for me to move on to something else and for quite a long time, I've been wanting to buy a big-block Chevelle and just bought one today.
I'm a little sad though to leave all my great T-Bird friend I've made over these past fun-filled 8 years I've owned my car and you're all going to miss me...

Congratulations, Claude on your sale. Sorry you won't have the BlueBird at the Ottawa show this year. Keep in touch, remember the TBird will always be a fond memory for you.

Wow!...thanks a lot guys for the good comments, I appreciate!...don't worry, the new owner is as "picky" as me and about the same age, so the car is definitely in good hands! I sold it locally and curiously it now resides a few miles from the dealer I initially bought it from.
Yes, I'll miss each and everyone of you guys who I had the opportunity to meet at the several T-bird events Claude and I attended...I have a bunch of pictures that I'll keep for years to come to remember all of the good times we had!...I'll definitely come here occasionnally to say "hi" and let you know that I'm not forgetting you.
As for the car I bought, it's a 1971 Chevelle SS 454 equipped with a stroked 502 cu.in. motor that made around 700 hp. on the dyno..., a TH400 transmission, a 3" stainless steel exhaust sytem ( it's L-O-U-D!!...), and a lot of other "goodies".

....well, Claude....a new adventure...the apple didn't fall too far from the tree...as there is a Gran. Nat. in your stable.....you just never know....as long as your passion exists....you never know what your last car will be....enjoy!

Moving from 241 ci to 502 ci is a huge move. That is a lot of displacement but I bet that Chevelle will move out. Looks great.

Like you, I miss the T-Bird but I just acquired a new 2011 Spyder that tends to help me forget.

Nothing as quick as your Chevelle but it will do 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and tops out at 152 mph before the Nanny cuts in and kills the revs.

I continue to drop in on the Nest from time to time and hope to see your posts from time to time. Let us know what times you turn in the 1/8 or 1/4 with the new wheels.

Rick, I don't really plan to race the Chevelle, but rather cruise in it and enter a show every now and then...
About 1/4 mile times, let's just say that my best run ever with my Buick Grand National is a 9.70 @ 139mph !...

Ed, I'll definitely attend the gatherings at the Tower shops next winter. As for brigning the Chevelle I'd really like to, but it's going to depend if I find a garage to store the car as I wouldn't like to leave it outside overnight...
