10 years from the "warranty start date," (WSD) also known as "in service date" (ISD). NOT the manufactured "Build Date." For example- I just spoke to a TBird owner (PaulD) and ran his TBird's record. The ISD in June 25, 2003...the Build date was Februray 3, 2003.

    Hope that helps,

    Lou

PS: I just saw Paul's note below this.

I just talked to Lou concerning starting my own extended warentee. He told me the date Ford uses is the date the car was first sold. In my case, my 03 was built in Feb 03 but not sold until Jun 03 thus June 03 + 10 Yr (aka Jun 2013) is the magic date for me.
I am struggeling with how to get the maxuimum length out of an extended warantee arrangement because I plan to keep my car for a long time. Lou suggested that I get a 2 year warentee now and then just before my 10 year point, get a 5 yr/60K mile extension. I plan to get back with Lou shortly to tell him what I plan to do.
