Great article! I think there are alot of cars that could come back and put real style in todays cars. Fords, Chevys, Chryslers and many more had some really great looking cars in the past.

Kind of gets me revved up.... My fear is that it will happen but I won't be able to afford it. But I'll still have my little blue '03. I've decided that this is my favorite of all the many cars I've owned in my long life.

Since my 1st SHO will be built this week, I need for Ford to hold off for 5 years before tempting me with a new T-Bird, so I can pay off the pending delivery and be ready to get back into the car payment busines...

I agree but most younger buyers today have no memory or first hand exposure of the great looking cars of the 1950s, 60s and even some from the 1970s. The majority of cars today are basically appliances for the vast majority of people-something to get them from point A to point B w/out any regard to style.

I had my bird today down at the beach with the top down, just reading the Sunday paper under a shady palm tree. More people stopped by to tell me what a nice car and people walking by pointing the car out and commenting. When I hear this car may not be collectible I think it a mistake. This car attracts lots of attention and admiration.

Still love both our T-Birds. Not sure what to make of Ford's decision to exclude the name.

Seems like a "halo" car may is the one missing piece in Ford's line up these days.

Mustangs are great cars but like the Chevrolet Camaro they are the Blue Collar/Boy Racer imaged machine.

Chevy has it's Corvette for the 40+ guy who will NEVER graduate to a Cadillac because he simply won;t give up his youth.

Ford too should offer up something other than the old man themed Lincoln.

The T-Bird is the car the over 50 year old guy feels comfortable in........ sophisticated and mature enough that he doesn't feel silly behind the wheel of a "kid's" car.........yet sporty and youthful enough he doesn't feel condemned to being labeled as the older man he is or is becoming against his will.

Ford has NOTHING in it's line up right now that meets the need of what is probably more than just a niche market.

Those of us who are defined as "Baby Boomers" still have some pretty serious spending power Ford is foolish to ignore.

Bring us a 2 seat T-Bird, for the couple with kids now long gone and out on their own, stock it with Corvette power this time and I bet you could sell 'em.

                            Just sayin'!!

I agree with Merlot2 about all the items we need on a new 2 pass Bird.
More power, more luxury in cabin and stiff handling for corners. I too would want to order at least one of these new birds---if ever produced.
