  • Save One For Me

Well, I'm out of the T-bird business again. At the ripe young age of 45 my wife and I are expecting a new baby girl in October. I love the car and have kept it through an 'E' code transmission problem, a brake failure, two bad coils, and various electrical problems, but the reality of life is that I need a back seat. I'm about the have three kids under the age of eleven, so a four door Ford Edge is now occupying my Bird's spot in the garage. Enjoy your cars, but keep the miles down on them...I'll need another one in a few years.

Congratulations with your new family member Trent.
Enough garage Queens around, so it should not be that hard to find a good and pampered Bird a number of years from now. Keep in touch.

Sounds like you need an Escape more than anything else....

It sounds like you will be looking for FOUR Thunderbirds--3 for the kids and one for the empty nesters!

                  Re: Save One For Me

Congrats on the baby! My very last baby girl (I have 8 daughters) was born when I was 43, and I bought my first T-Bird when I was 47, and my second when I was 49. The T-Bird is only used when my wife and I can get away for a while.

Oh, I heard that E-code birds fetch a big price, but that's not so much so on the retro-version. ;-)

Congrats on your new addition to come! You didn't mention if you'd already sold or traded your Black T-Bird. If you didn't, or if it went without the top, I'd be interested in the black top w or w/o the cart. Thanks.
