In my case no. It isn't that I don't like the Monterey Mist, but would prefer one of several other color combo's. My first choice would be Black with black and teal ( thunderbird blue ) interiorand white top. Second is red with white interior and top. Yes I have always thought red was a little faster. At least you get a ticket faster

Re: Is your T Bird the color you really wanted?
I like my Cashmere, main reason for my choice was the light colored interior. The dealer I bought from had 4 Cashmere on the lot when I purchased mine, I choose the one still on the transporter, also had no idea I was buying the Special Edition for the year and the dealer probably didn't know it either as he never mentioned it. My favorite color for a car is Silver, always thought a Silver with a Silver hardtop, Black Soft-top and a Black/Full Red accent interior would have been sharp, unfortunately that wasn't a color combination offered. Also think a Dark Green with a Black Interior would have been nice, the Dark Green like on the 60's Ford's, Highland Green or Dark Moss Green.sigpicBradford + TOTM April 2009 05 Thunderbird Cashmere #702 /1500 , ' 04 Acura TL, '79 Buick Electra Limited, Landau Coupe, '67 Mustang Convertible

Re: Is your T Bird the color you really wanted?
When I ordered mine, I had wanted the full Yellow with the Black exterior. It turned out not to be available, so I ordered the full Red with the Black outside.
I never understood why Ford didn't make the Yellow and the Blue interiors available with the black exterior.Unbelivable TBN trips including ALL of the lower 48 States plus 9 Canadian Provinces, 8 European Countries, 3 Caribbean Countries, Countless National Parks and have attended well over 100 TBN Events since 2001 and counting. Best of all ... fabulous friends.

Re: Is your T Bird the color you really wanted?
The Cashmere was my first color choice, but when I went to order in April of '05, they had already completed the 1500, and it wasn't available for order, so I ordered Goldilocks. Two years later Don Fox was selling his baby, so I ended up with both 1st & 2nd choices! If I had gotten the Cashmere first, I'd probably have a PCR by now.sigpic

Yes, I ordered my Thunderbird Blue in 01 and got the first one in that color at the dealership. All the sales people were out looking at it when we picked it up. First one they ever saw. They are Here. Scotty, beam me up!IT'S 5 O'CLOCK SOMEWHEREVisit the TBN Store

She was a good one. Sold 12/30/2014.
Replaced with 2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe.
A lot better car and even more exclusive, but doesn't have the Cachet the Thunderbird had. Adios, mi Amigo.

Re: Is your T Bird the color you really wanted?
It iis surprising that more of the 50's colors and combo's weren't available. Many Ford interiors were black and pink. Not sure I would do that but it sure would be retro.

Re: Is your T Bird the color you really wanted?
The color of my Thunderbird, Shadow Mountain Gray, is one of the reasons I couldn't resist buying it.
It is just stunningly beautiful. I liked the Merlot but was not crazy about the white steering wheel and white seat inserts but that would have been my second choice I think. A white one would be my third choice.

Re: Is your T Bird the color you really wanted?
YES. It is the only color we wanted once we found out about it.
It stands out first for being a Tbird and doen't get lost in a sea of generic silver, white and black cars that are on the road.
Not referring to silver, black and white Tbirds because any Tbird stands out so please no hate mail.

Re: Is your T Bird the color you really wanted?
YES - had looked at a couple of other colors but really like the Cashmere. My first car - a 1951 chevy convertable - was almost the same color, but with dark red leather interior. OK not metalic but brought back memories. Really though is there a bad color for our birds?
