  • *Wheel question*

Ok guys I'm at a bit of an impasse here. I'm looking to replace the current wheels I'm running on but I don't know what to get. I love the look of the 11th generation chrome wheels. Very pretty and who doesn't love the iconic 'Bird logo?

but how would they look on a 97?

I'm also looking at these and they have me intrigued as well.

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

They're five lug and like RJ said it's same pattern, different offset.

The American Racing rims are a perfect fit actually. I'm just curious to see what everyone here thinks before I make a move.

These in 18" would be my choice based on style & color of your Bird. JMHO

Thanks Joe. It's actually a pretty good look. The 'Bird logos match up pretty well and it has a very classy feel while having an underrated sportiness to them.

                  Re: *Wheel question*

If you want the Bird logo, go with the NM type wheels. There are some painted aluminum wheels for sale here on another thread. Buy them, get chromed and your all set - That is if you like the Neiman-Marcus look

                    Re: *Wheel question*

As a general rule I like the look of 5 spokes far better than the "too busy" look of 7 spokes almost every time.

That said this is a tough forum in which to ask this question. Most here are heavily biased toward what they have.......and most of us have the 7 spoke wheels that came on the retro-bird.

Your answers will almost certainly reflect that Bias in opinions.

when I purchased my 04 last year it came with premium 16 spoke wheels. Is this uncommon or was it a paid for upgrade?

Based on the photos in that link, the new wheels look small. Needs a bigger tire to help fill up that wheel well.
