Wrong demographic for initial future sales and beyond. (Just look at our average ages.)
There would have to be a strong group of past TBird buyers, who had bought the mid 90's Birds, that want another TBird.
I love my 94 TBird, but I don't think that there are enough mid 90's TBird buyers that bought the car for something other than transportation.
But, who knows, I could be wrong.
Anyway, I'd be too old to buy any "new" TBird.
(I read somewhere that many younger folks didn't realize that the Corvette is a Chevy.)
2010 Explorer Limited Edition, tri color white, camel interior
2003 TBird black/saddle
1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL conv't turq/black
2004 Lincoln LS 8 Sport light tundra metallic/medium stone
Charley & I were just talking at dinner tonight about the Bird never returning - and I log on to find this thread!
JMHO, the T-Bird has a specific history, and now Ford is more about going green and being economical, given the state of things today, so unless the economy makes a huge upward swing, I don't see the Bird coming back. I'd hate to see them dishonor the badge by gluing it on to a wind-up tinkertoy.

I'll agree with Brad, Jim & HKS. This really sounds like a canned reply from 12 years ago that for some reason hasn't been purged from their canned response files yet. We're already into the 2nd decade of the 21st century so we have distanced ourselves from the turn of the millennium.
