Experiencing Strange Electrical Issues with T-Bird
I did replace both taillights about 4 months ago (got the bulbs at Auto Zone, and did the replacement myself), but that seems too long ago to be the cause of this issue, . . ., I think.
I'll try to find the "hot air" thread and see what that says.
Just read that thread, and it does seem that I might have a bad heater control valve.
Though it is weird that the hot AC thing has happened at the same time the lights are doing their weird thing. Oh, well, after reading this thread and the "hot air" thread, it seems that the heater control valve and any electrical issues are covered under ESP (thanks, Lou!), and so I will just take the T-Bird in and see what they find.
Thanks. everyone.
It should be fixed and ready to come to Nashville in June for the "Gathering of the Gold". Hope to see you there.
Re: Experiencing Strange Electrical Issues with T-Bird
Hey, everyone! I just heard from the Ford dealership where I took my T-Bird to, and they just called me and said that I had a bad compressor, and will be getting the part in the next few hours (hopefully in time to repair it today).
So, in my case, even though I had symptoms exactly like others on this thread (really hot air coming out of the vents when I had regular air on and even when I had AC on), my problem is apparently not a heat control module.
As to the weird electrical issues with the lights, they were not able to get that to occur, and so that problem is a mystery (hopefully, it won't happen again).
Thanks again for everyone's input.
Oh, and good news, it appears to be covered by the ESP.
Phil
