  • Guess Who Came to Lunch

NC2k2TBIRD................ Gary and Kay Adams from North Carolina.

Well, they really didn't come to lunch because they had already eaten, but they did come by. They are traveling to the Western States in their beautiful new 2012 motor home.

We haven't seen these two since the TBN Carolina Thunder event in Wilmington. We had a lot of news and rumors to catch up on.

Give credit to the Bird and TBN for creating another life long friendship.

If you call an ice cold beer lunch, we indulged. That Rio is cuter than his pics. He wanted to play with KC and Maggie. Maggie wanted no part and KC being the perfect Southern Gentleman, just let Rio chew on his ears.

It was good to see Charlie and Margaret again. It has been too long since we had a chance to visit with them

        Sally,

We are here near Terrell, TX. The high winds are giving us fits driving this bread box. We stopped early because of the winds. Good time to get some laundry done. Not sure of our timetable thru DFW at this point.

Never heard a RV called a "bread box".

You guys be careful. Don't be in a hurry.

We are currently (12:15 AM 03/20/12) in a severe thunderstorm. Glad we are parked. Unbelievable rain, lighting and thunder. At least the winds have died down.

Gary, I don't know which direction you're planning on going, but
                don't go through downtown Dallas ( I-30/Hwy 80)

The Trinity River has probably reached Flood Lever, or higher, now. It goes right thru the middle of Dallas.

No matter which way you're going Stay on 635, or I-20 Loop. The first loop (outermost) around Dallas is fairly elevated.

The rain need this am so we took off for Midland to stopover and visit with my niece. Longest leg so far at 372 miles.

I couldn't believe the rain and thunderstorms we were in last night. Glad we didn't have any problems because of the weather.

Re: Guess Who Came to Lunch

Thanks for posting y'all adventure Gary. Sounds like y'all are taking it nice and easy.

372 miles a day????? That's about half of your 80 gallon tank. How are the gas prices as you head West?

All that rain that y'all were in is starting to move in here tonight and tomorrow.

                      Take care.
