Driving home from getting pizza my check engine light came on. Just what I need. 16,8000 miles. I guess I have to find a code reader to know what's going on. The car is running fine by the way.
Did you recently take your car out of storage? If so, you just may need to drive it for awhile. Same problem just happened to my wife's car, so I am crossing fingers and toes.
The car came out of storage about 1,000 miles ago. I am going to go clean the gasket in the gas cap and hope that is it. A friend has a code reader that I will borrow.
I hooked up the code reader and got no codes. I tried to clear it but it did not clear. The reader is working OK. I do not want to bring it to a dealer.
