    Re: Soft top boot?

With sudden rainstorms in S.Fl. I don't use mine.I like the fact the top is up and closed in about 7 sec.

I agree but I am the one that looks so good.Did I say that. I might except I am so old and bald now.

On the serious side I very seldom use the boot, my sand top is still pretty clean.

Put mine on for the first time in several years to attend a car show a few weeks ago. Looks great, but I remembered quickly why I seldom use it. It is a @#*+#@ to put on.

the 02 boot must be more difficult than the later models.on my o4 its 6 snaps and tuck back edge under. might take me 1 min or less.

Stanw, you guessed right. the 02 is more of a pain to use but I prefer it's looks over the 03-05 boot so used it yesterday on the 05. It doesn't go on long trips though, just for local shows. Long trips, then the 05 boot gets packed for the ride.

But, I didn't buy a boot for the soft top yet......it's OK to drive around without one (briefly), right?

Hello - My 2004 was delivered today but seems the hard top cart was pilfered along the way. Can I ask where you ordered your storage rack from and the estimated cost (destination Seattle)?

Sooooo anxious to get the top down as our sunny days are limited... Thanks much!

You are right. I took 2nd place in a show last summer with the top down and no boot.
I was up in northern Michigan and didn't have room to take my boot.
This year I'm taking my custom 3 piece boot.

Did you also order the dust cover for your hardtop when it's on the storage rack?

Hi Greg - when car arrived I found a hard top dust cover and soft boot inside the trunk but the rack was missing. I guess I should be happy that I only had to order a rack! I also ordered the wide metal protection strips but not sure if I will need and/or use until I see if any scratches once the hard top comes off. I do hear a little rattling with top on. Thanks!
