I disagree,my personal opinion. I have had whitewalls on every Caddy I've owned for the past 28 yrs.

I think WWs on a WW look just fine. I think they'd look good on every color. This is my second set. I opted for the WWs with the red accent stripe this time:

Agreed - wide whitewalls look good on any TBird. I am biased towards wire wheels with the whitewall combo, as it hearkens back to the '50s.

Does anyone have a picture of Red Lines on a Retro Bird? I've been thinking of buying a set. The only place I can find them is Diamond Back, at about $1,200.00 installed. I don't think Coker makes them in a 17"any longer.

Unfortunately, we are unable to come to Nashville due to illness in the family. There is always next year. Seeing your special Retrobird is a must for me !

                  Re: Whitewalls or Blackwalls???

In general I'm not that crazy about the whitewalls on a large majority of the retrobirds. I will give a thumbsup to having them on the pastel colors, especially if they have on a white hardtop. I am impressed with the look of the whitewalls with the red stripe on the white, black and red cars, but the plain whitewalls don't go that well with the more stark colors in my personal taste.

Glad that they are available for those that like them and those who don't mind spending the extra cash for them. Our difference in taste keeps the economy churning and keeps a relatively small company like Diamond Back in business.

They look really good on Ray's and Jim's cars in the pictures. It makes me wonder whether I should have gone with whitewalls when I replaced my tires.

Have whitewalls on Vintage Mint Green and they look fantastic. However, they are difficult to keep clean.

Doubutsu, Thanks for the info and picture. The Red lines in that picture really don't look that good to me, maybe it's the wheels they're on? I like WWs better I think and your Wires are really sharp with the TBird caps.
