I don't qualify for this club, but I do qualify for "Bought Thunderbird as Second Owner With the Ashtray Missing" club.

I have one I don't use. If you want one to complete a purely original car, and if the stock number is right, you can have it. On the bottom it says "F8C-5404788" and "MOLD #1598 ADW" and "PF" in a square, and "A-715-B".

WOW... between the personalization and the fact even the mold in the trunk requires a part number I'd say we have some high-maintenance people here.

steelble5505 have one trunk mat. bought it because we have a grocery bag holder in the trunk that has very sticky velcro on its bottom to hold it in place. This velcro was destroying the fuzzy oem material on the trunk floor. It doesn't do that to the Thunderbird mat.

I have a trunk mat in my Explorer. I carry mulch, dirt, junk, dead bodies (hey, it's Joisey; you never know), etc.

What the heck am I going to carry in my TBird that needs a trunk mat?

Air?

Whenever I show my retro (or Galaxie), I keep the trunk lid down.

That's where I keep my chair cover, wax, window cleaner, dust/buster, cooler, chrome polish, etc.

IMHO, a car with the trunk up does not look as good as a car with the trunk down.

Hood up? Maybe, if it's a classic. (At shows, I raise the hood on my Galaxie.)

But, my LS and retro look the same under the hood, so I show the retro with the hood closed.

Got 2 of them, but only use one at a time, wayyy too fast and hard on gas when both are in the trunk, not to mention the speeding tickets
