    No, snipe hunt, these are the real thing, but they do not make the cars faster.

      I'm a member, too. I like the feel of it. Nice and soft, AND it helps give the trunk that "new car" smell. HA

            Remember, Gold paint has nothing to do with it, it is the fact it was built the last hour and they had to use the good stuff.

              My 02 blue is a member of this club. I bought for trunk show, no go.


              Also have the full Thunderbird trunk liner which is not of rug material but vinyl. Lets make a club for that as it's even more exclusive.


              There there are the fancy Thunderbird floor mats with logo and even the lowly Thunderbird mud mats for use in WA state. Neither make the car go faster unless someone kicks them up on the gas pedal.


              I've probably taken pics but not sure where they're at. Might have one or two of them on my site.

                Kokomo sports a trunk mat. Technically, I didn't purchase it so I guess I am not a member of this club. I bought new floor mats and it was a promotional gift.

                  We've had the trunk mat for years. It adds 10 to 15 MPH to Blackie on those cross country trips.

                    '02 Torch Red with monogrammed trunk & deck mats (matching floor mats as well). My side "MJB" Sue"s side "SKB." Rusty, haven't really "felt" the mats in our car but certainly like the looks of them.

                      Double member here - Goldilocks (05 Bronze) and Moondoggie (05 Cashmere) are both blessed. How do I like the feel? Haven't slept in the trunk lately, but I'm pretty sure the mats are nice & soft! My luggage doesn't complain!

                          That list is pretty outdated Rusty. I've been a trunk mat club member since shortly after acquring my 2003 MSG Thunderbird. Got one in the 2005 IG Thunderbird too (previous owner was not a trunk club member so I had to buy that mat too).

                            I have a trunk mat. I love the extra power! If I could find it then I could put it in my trunk for an even larger HP boost and better rear-wheel traction. I admit that I didn't buy the mat -- it was a gift -- so I'm saddened that don't meet the criteria for membership in the Trunk Mat Club. I request a waiver of the purchase requirement and will gladly fill out at least some of the necessary paper work.
