  • Hardboard poster.

Got this hardboard poster on the weekend and wondered if it is Ford issue or aftermarket made . Have not seen one like it before . Anyone know of or have seen one before ? it is 15.5" X 20 " in overall size . Has FORD logo on bottom and printed below " ms-tls-bulldog-Lincoln-psd ".

Looks like 2002 red Bird, two Lincolns and a GT 40 .

Have not seen that one, Martin ..... but I've got to find one! Has two of my favorite things on it a Torch Red T-bird and a bulldog !! The other cars are nice too.

Where did you come up with it?

          Re: Hardboard poster.

Knowing how difficult it is to get Ford to approve of the use of the Ford logo or any of the Ford products logo such as the Thunderbird, in any form or fashion, I do think that this poster is an after market idea that never ever was granted Ford licensing. How did it get made you might ask, Ford picks their legal battles and this poster's sales probably were so small that it never was a hit on Ford's trademark protection radar.

Also do not think Ford would create an ad like this.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
          Mike

I did not find it on her website, but sometimes I miss things there.

So far so good for you when no one can identify your poster that means rare. Now if
Dot can't identify you have a winner.

                  Martin:

Is that a map in the background? If so, it might be a clue to it's source. Maybe dealer or Ford zone office produced?

I love a good mystery! Maybe it has some tie back to the Wixom plant. About halfway down this blog post from 2011: http://www.nailhed.com/2014/07/fun-fun-fun-til-daddy-takes-t-bird.html

                      ... I found this image:

One other thought, Martin. I wonder if that isn't a file name. I do some mucking about with Photoshop, and ".psd" is a file extension used by Photoshop for project files.

Have tracked it back to Tony Barrand who used to be active on here a few years back and had a 2002 blue bird . He lived in Sarnia, not too far from Wixom and may have had friends there . Will try to get hold of him to see if he can shed any light .
