Milky - Also from Mass. and went through a long list of "bird" names on the Registry of Motor Vehicles website.
I finally ended up with NEWBRD - have had a lot of comments that the plate tells it.
Good luck with the hunt. The 6 letter limit is a bummer.Dick

I've got CATBYRD on my mountain shadow grey bird. I looked up catbird in a dictionary and it said that a catbird is a grey bird. (I don't recall what part of the country you would find a catbird.)
I also love cats and my cat rides to work with me every day in the CATBYRD! I guess there's also a saying about "sittin' in the catbird seat" which is a good place to be.

I'm also from Mass. and I agree the six digit limit no spaces, dashes or dots is a bummer. All the good ones were already used when my daughter went to get me the plates as a Christmas present in Dec 2001. We settled on "JWBIRD" (my initials) . I think the Tbird attracts enough attention without advertizing who it belongs to, so I may just get a standard plate when renewal time comes around.. LOLJWBIRD
