Bill having owned 4 Corvettes, when the time came for a summer 'toy' I was hot after a C5. But, after further review I came to the conclusion that I'm too old to sit on the ground. For me the retro is an ideal senior ride. As to removal from this site..good luck!

LOL that's one of the funniest old man misconceptions. From decades of friends who are members of Corvette Club of Texas and Lone Star Corvettes, the LAST thing you want is a female who you think is attracted to gold chains, pinkie rings and high-school boy cars.
We're lighter. We're faster. If that don't work, we're nastier.

          A 90 would be a C 4.

Thanks to all, for your comments. Had no idea so many of you had owned Corvettes. This is also, my 2nd one. Had a very low mileage 78 Pace Car, from 98 to 2005. Won an NCRS Top Flight Award at Tahoe in 2000. It had no HP, but a nice car. This 1998 C5 is way ahead of it in Comfort Power, and style. Really happy with this one ----------------- But, who knows, When I get to old to get in and out of this Vette, ( which could happen tomorrow) ----------- I may have to find another Retro Bird. A low mileage White, with red interior would be my choice.

The CD is no longer available. John Bakos made it and gave it to me. He would be pleased to see it passed on to another PCR owner.

I'm afraid a 30 year old girlfriend would kill me, but it would be a hell of a way to go. I to bought a Corvette, (2004) with 21,000 miles, I've wanted something like that since I sold my 05 bird a bit ago. If I have just half the fun with the vette that I had with my Bird, I will feel like a very lucky man. Never had any major problem with my bird, and the other Thunderbird owners I got to meet, was one of the best thing that happened to me. To everybody, may we all have many great days filled with new memories and smiles as we drive down life's road.

I still have my C5 - Keep that Roadster at the house in Florida and my 2004 T Bird at my house in NC.

No matter where I am I still have a great ride to enjoy!

                    Bill,

How do you like your new Corvette after owning and driving it for a while?

Any issues getting in and out of the driver's seat? I know they're low to the ground.

I've been looking at them recently ... a lot of value for the money. A third of the price of comparable imports ... 1/5th the price of the least expensive new Ferrari.

Friends don't let friends drive a Chevy. Fords rock! Seriously, enjoy your Corvette. My brother-in-law is a die hard Corvette man.

Thanks for the 'heads up' Paul. I should have realized that after getting his new Corvette he might not be checking in here much.
