Re: Good Experience with Thunderbird Concepts

I certainly hope LAPHIL is here to assist us owners.

Re: Good Experience with Thunderbird Concepts

Well, it looks like I've been permitted back to TBN.

Thanks Newman for the 'heads up' about TBN.

I would like to say this:

I first met Aaron Scott in 2002 at the SEMA Automotive Aftermarket show in Las Vegas.

I was displaying the Powersport 'California Custom,' and Aaron visited our display and introduced himself.

Over the years, Aaron and I did a lot of business together; he carried certain products I didn't have, and I carried products he didn't have.

He was always professional, dependable, honorable and courteous. He provided great customer service, and built up an excellent reputation and large customer base over the years.

I can't speculate as to why he made the decision to leave the business. I'm sure he had his reasons.

While I can't complete fill the void he left, I do want TBN members and Retro owners everywhere to know I'm here to help provide products and accessories to Thunderbird owners, and I will happily continue to extend a courtesy discount to TBN members.

Right now LaPhil is banned. He might want to try to be a paid sponsor at TBN . I wonder if we could arrange some group buys of some of Aarons inventory?

Wow, I did not know that. Did he take back the grill he offered to Wisconsin Thunder?

Didn't know this happened...an appropriate editorial response to his being banned simply escapes me, but it would be hard to find anyone who's more enthusiastic about the retrobirds than Phil.

Re: Good Experience with Thunderbird Concepts

Damn, I hate to see Concepts bite the dust. He was the best automotive company I have ever dealth with. Then again, he has a small audience, and many of his products are one-time items, so, eventually, ...

I forgot another good thing to say for Aaron. The cover for my hardtop/cart was a little too small, or I didn't put it on right, but the first time I put it on, I got a small tear in it. The second time I put it on, I ripped it to shreds. I contacted Aaron to see if I had misunderstood the instructions, as I had put it on over BOTH the top and the cart. Aaron replied that I had done it correctly and that a batch of the covers were too small, and he immediately sent me another cover that fit perfectly.

I hate to ask this, but IS THERE ANY OTHER SUPPLIER OF RETROBIRD AFTERMARKET STUFF OUT THERE?

I am in complete agreement. It shocks and saddens me to see this website contribute to the downfall of our hobby. Banning LAPHIL is just beyond comprehension. Soon there may be no one left to get parts from much less design and sell new parts.

ETA I bought parts from Aaron, bought parts from Gary Kimmel and bought parts from Phil. Phil is the only one left and now he's banned from TBN? Unbelievable.

Phil did not take back the Billet Grill or the 2 watches he donated. He said he didn't want to take out his problems on the member of TBN. All total it was a little over $1000 catalog price of what he donated. Very Generous

This tells you a LOT about Phil - he's always been a very gracious guy with me during the whole time I've known him. Something stinks here, and it's not the sauerkraut.
