      I really like the gullwing door idea! But I'm wondering, would the door have to be repainted? I'd hate for the paint not to match.

        I've had the same thought but I have also pondered about an automatic soft top boot. My rides are usually too short to justify the time involved in putting on the boot and I hate how the soft top looks down. You could connect it to the trunk/ sail panel and then have the trunk hinges moved to the rear. Even more "trickerier" might be getting the soft top to tilt forward to allow the hard boot to close and then have the soft top back close on the boot. Possibly even more difficult might be getting the standard hardtop to still fit somehow.
