We've had 600 members visit in the last month (used to be about 1000), over 1600 in the last year, approx 225 members visit every day. A lot of silent partners and even the silent ones speak up sometimes. and approx 400 new members in the last year.
around 50 have joined in the last month so it will be around May 20 when we reach 11000.
GOOD NEWS : I believe Dot could have been a great bean counter. We owe people like that a lot of gratitude.

Ha, I just used the "community" member list and the column, "last visit" and "date joined" to come up with those numbers. Not hard to do. The count comes from the program itself at the bottom of each page on the list.
This thread started out as a discussion about when TBN would hit 11,000 members. Comments were made and questions were asked. Well, TBN hit 11,000 members (according to the home page) sometime in late May. Nobody said a word. Just saying, no point being made.
When you search the membership roll from day one the total number of members is reported to be 10,723. That is a difference of 277 members. Anybody want to guess why?

I'm guessing they were lined up against a wall and executed for real or perceived wrong doing.
Maybe their membership has been deleted because they joined one day back in 2004 or any date in the past and haven't sign onto the site for 8/10 years and when they were on the site they never made a post. I don't bother keeping track of the numbers.
Phil, you could be the exception to this, if you get my drift.
I must be getting old. I recognize more and more people in the obituaries.
And in alphabetical order. I belong to a couple Cadillac Forums and surprisingly the average age is much less than here and it's not just the CTVS owners. Younger folks in general are buying Cadillacs these days.
And then there are those that are booted because they target us for their advertising and have no real interest in Thunderbirds or the culture there in.
I am ok with that.

Is targeting us for advertising Thunderbirds and accessories a bad thing? If it is a good deal we can grab it, if not we ignore it. They recent stifling of someone wanting to sell the car belonging to their deceased parents was pretty ridiculous. It's pretty easy to spot professional traders trying to dump merchandise on us and I don't have a problem with keeping those guys out. Instead of a line in the sand why not be a little flexible?

In her book "Passages," Gail Sheehy talks about coping with the late adulthood stage where one watches his/her friends die off. A good book; I probably ought to read it again.
Allen, TX The best trophies are miles on the odometer, stone chips in the paint, dead bugs on the windshield, and the occasional smell of manure.
Harry, I should have been more clear. I was talking about very non-Thunderbird/car culture advertising. Yes, we can ignore it, but should it be here in the first place?
