Be just what you is, not what you is not. Folks what do this is the happiest lot.....Mr. Wizard the Lizard
The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know for sure if they are genuine.....Abraham Lincoln
The challenge I have attending activities is they are several days long and require extensive travel. Local meetings and activities do not exist. A active local chapter would be a good thing but here in the Nashville Tennessee area it does not exist. I do not know how to do that but would be willing to assist someone who does.

Lets see right now we have almost eleven thousand members and maybe two hundred
posting. The TOTM draws about ninety votes. There must be a reason for this low rate
of participation. They come they look and they leave must be something any ideas.

A lot of people join because they have a Thunderbird but their life doesn't revolve around that car like most of us. Also a lot of people use the internet but not daily or even weekly in many cases. Everyone has different priorities.
I think you'll find most local car club have less than 20% participation. I have been a member of the Classic thunderbird Club Of Wisconsin for 25 years and attend most every event and there are quite a few members I have never met.
It come down to different strokes for different folks.

Might be because the car is 15 years old and to most owners now its just transportation.
It always strikes me a little funny when someone asks this question, if I don't care as a co-owner of this site why would anyone else care. I'm sure not in this for the $$$.

It's a legitimate question, and just because someone raises it doesn't mean they're worried about it.
It certainly relates to the subject of this forum more than say a thread about some obscure old song that no one other than the person posting has even heard of, let alone cares about.
Like it or not, the reality is that only a tiny fraction of those who join TBN become regular posters. Maybe the majority belongs to other online forums that cater to hobbies or interests they're more active in, maybe not.
And only a small fraction of Retro owners are absolutely passionate about their cars. As Spence said, to most it may just be transportation and not much more.
Sad as it is,,,, I think it's a " sign of the times" Don't have a clue why but it's not just here.
All the above comments make sense to me. Most of us grew up in the greatest time in U S history and we may never see one like it again.
I joined the nest last August, and honestly can tell you there is not a day that has gone by that I do not pick up one of my devices to check in. I totally enjoy reading up on what the New Posts of the day bring to life. I am in love with my car, want to see it and want to drive it as much as possible. My passion has always been the Mercedes Benz, (currently own a Ml350), but slowly the bird has gotten more of my attention. I cannot see me keeping my bird running well without your help, I have learned so much. As for get togethers, my only hindrance is that I still work full time, but the day will come when I can cut loose. May this nest last forever!
Honor the sacrifices our predecessors paid for our country.
