Love the red lines on this car. O5 with 27K miles. One of four retros that will be in Kissimmee next month. Also three WW 02's. one with 9,500 miles one with 27,000 miles and the other one doesn't indicate mileage.

    Re: Red Lines

How can anyone look at a beautiful car like this and doubt that our Retros are in store for a place in the pantheon of classic cars?

Okay, maybe not soon, but I think it's inevitable. And no, it's not about the money, what you paid, what it's worth, what you'd sell if for or trade it for or not.

The 2002-2005 Thunderbird is a future classic in its own right.

The redlines look excellent on that car, the only thing that would make it better would be to have the red accent interior

Phil: I agree, in my opinion this is just about the perfect retro. Classic and subtle. Bill, it has partial red interior. Nice indeed.

Are the red lines available at most auto(tire) stores? White walls are very costly, almost 2,000 for a set. Id like to see red-lines at Walmart? lol thanks, car looks great.

Long lines at Walmart, definitely. Red lines, maybe not. ----Will

Beautiful car and the red lines look fantastic. I think they look great on all but just a few colors. Had them on many cars in the 60's

Not a fan of whitewalls on the 2002-05 Bird but those redlines look amazing.

who sells the red lines? I also prefer them to white walls especially on Black TB's! The white walls cost a arm & a leg. does the red lines also? Any help in finding these great looking tires will be helpful!

Could be others as well. Ray had a set on his WW retro and they really looked good.

Through Coker they are $1,088 plus whatever your local guy will mount and balance them for.

I agree with La Phil's and the other comments re: the Evening Black with the red line tires. What is missing, IMO, is the Red Caliper Covers. See ellisoncal's gallery.

I saw the picture on Mecum.com and I'm going to the auction with Brian Metzger but only staying until Tuesday the 10th. Have to get back to Charleston for tutoring on Wednesday morning. I've been a Tutor with "Reading Partners.org" for a few years and find it very rewarding helping 3rd, 4th and 5th graders improve their reading skills. Sorry for the "plug", but for other retirees looking for some way to help children, this is a great program.

Back in the early to mid 60's the auto parts stores sold a crayon to color in your narow white walls. It didn't last forever so you would have to touch up every so often. Any body remember those?
