Ric if your figures are correct, then LA Phil is only adding an extra hundred..not bad. But his offering is for 225 width where my tires are 235. I'd consider this look as I do have drilled/slotted brakes with red Thunderbird caliper covers. Off to Bozeman Montana..MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL!

Greg, the price I posted from their web page was for the 235's. The 225's are a little less at $250 each. Who knows, maybe over the phone you could even do better. Merry Christmas.

            Re: Red Lines

            Picture looks great.

When it's clean and polished black, particularly on these cars is magnificent and the red line is a great accent.

I still prefer white walls and they can be "had" for around $200.

I must disagree, as well with the view that these cars are "just about" perfect.

To me it is unsurpassed as the ideal Personal Luxury Sports Car and as good now as when it was new.

Well, if price was not a factor, I'd put an Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, in the right color, right next to it......but since price is a factor, the '02-05 TBirds stand alone.

Partial quote about the shine of a black 'Bird. I've always said there is nothing shinier than a black car on an overcast day.

The 2005 in post #1 sold this morning for $25,000 + fee 25,097 miles. Stunning car and great price.

I have always wanted to see a Black retro with turquoise and white interior. Can't get more 50's than that,,,, well maybe pink interior. UGHHHH.

Ron I'd say that a Black Beauty with a black and white interior is about as retro as you can get. As to the red lines I'd buy them as they'd look good with the set up I've got but for two reasons: I don't like the tread design nor the exorbitant price. OLD FART HERE I COME

                      1. Greg just remember you will be an old fart before I will.

                      2. I almost responded to your similar comment about tread design previously. Am confused. If non-traditional tread design does something good for tire life or car performance/handling that to me is a good thing. Who cares about tread appearance.

                      3. I would also buy the redlines if cheaper. Look good. Retro but not to 55-57 era. When were redlines in Vogue?
