  • Viper stripes?

Have any of you ever seen a bird with twin racing stripes like on a Dodge Viper? I would like to see a picture of one. Have a new to me 05 Tbird with 24K miles and am in the honeymoon daydream phase of ownership. Any body able to photo-shop?
    Thanks,
    Duane

Oh wait. Just found one in the members gallery after searching stripes. Now can someone tell me what "plastic-dip" is?

You might want to consider using Plasti-Dip, or the like, that way you could always peel them off if/when you grow tired of them. Here's an example:

Which dual-stripe are you talking about? Standard or ACR?

        Standard

        ACR

Take a look at my bird, I used plasti dip for these stripes. Not exactly viper stripes, but close.

I showed my wife and she has given me the Go Ahead. Hope I can apply tape in a straight line.

Looking forward to seeing your stripes! I did mine with white self-stick closet shelf liner, and thin white craftsman tape. The intent was just to put them on for one day and take pictures. I only did the back and left side. I also did a NascarBird for Thunder Fever 50th TBird anniversary, that came out pretty cool too.

If i can give you a tip, use a dry erase marker to mark some measurements, then just line the tape up with the marks.

Love the look. Going to try with a Dip Spray. Are yours matte or gloss and did you have to take the emblems off?

                    Re: Viper stripes?

I didn't take the emblems off, I used painters tape to cover them.

The plasti-dip didn't come in gloss, but I did go over it with their glossifier.

Thanks, I'll attempt it, but first I have to convince wife of my idea. There is a company now call AutoDip which has matte, metallic and gloss dip spray. You can check them out.

Hey Duane, congratulations on your new Tbird! Regarding your question about plastic dip, it's a type of coating that can be applied to various surfaces for protection or aesthetic purposes. As for your initial inquiry, I have yet to see a bird with twin racing stripes like on a Dodge Viper; I can help you with your maths coursework writing services if you need assistance. Just let me know!
