  • Thunderbird bookends

I am neither selling, nor aiding a seller.

If you're interested in 2002 Thunderbird porthole bookends, this is a decent price.

Thanks for the lead, I jumped on it and purchased a set. No idea where or how I am going to utilize them, but hey I'll figure it out later!

You could use them as a bacon press that you could watch the action through. You could view boat scenes in movies through them for added realism. You could put an acrylic magnifying glass behind them and have magnifiers for your desk. You could put one on the table just to look at and admire the lines; you could paint it your car's color. You could leave them flat and use them to sort little seeds for spring planting. They could be used as coasters. You can use them for the same function mine have -the box can take up space on a shelf. You could have your servant present one at the door instead of a silver tray, for guests to put their calling cards on, or for your butler/servant to put the mail on it and deliver it to you. They could be used as inspiration to write a Sherlock Holmes story, such as: "The Case of the Inexplicable Portholes". You could use them as inspiration to write a Lovecraft type story, such as: "The Curse of Cthulu's Curved Bookends". You could write a haiku daily about the feeling you have peering through the glass portholes. You could place one over your navel and contemplate it. You could put a solar cell behind the glass and make a solar phone charger. You could zone out staring at them and have a Zen experience. You could use them as a visual trigger for lucid dreaming. You could get a strand of LEDs, wrap them around the bezel of the glass and have a nifty accent lamp, or as an addition to the magnifying glass you previously made. You could mount one in the side of your computer case to admire the components. You could tape one to each side of your head to prevent the government from reading your mind. You could leave them flat, fill them with fine sand, get a tiny rake and practice more Zen. You could use them as a stand to display your 1:43 models. You could place them on the dining table and use as salt dishes. You could put a thermometer in one, and hygrometer, or barometer in the other.

Richard great solutions, but could you help me understand why I have 3 sets still in boxes stored away somewhere. No, I do not/am not a hoarder but do sometimes suffer 3:00 a.m. itchy Ebay fingers.

          Gotta be some other answer?

I'm really tempted as Richard's suggestions do offer some great options. The seed 'sorting' idea is inspirational. Thanks

Well..... if you believe in numerology, 3 seems to be significant:
Number 3 resonates with the energies of optimism and joy, inspiration and creativity, speech and communication, good taste, imagination and intelligence, sociability and society, friendliness, kindness and compassion.
It could represent these 3 things: there are lies, damned lies, and statistics
It could be that your itchy fingers are a physical manifestation of your deep seated childhood fear of the monster under the bed syndrome.
It could be that your biorhythms are out of sync with the universe and can only be re-aligned by giving the good stuff to me. I think it must be this one.

Wow What a sheltered mundane life I lead. With all those possibilities how could I not already have one or 3?
