What if he would have been about 5'6" and 140 lbs.?

The auction house said that Minter originally sold the car to Charlie Thomas for 6 figures. Apparently Fairlane chrome and suspension issues dampened the price. The purchaser could lose the Fairlane trim, fix the suspension and fare well in a quick flip !

Five of us were riding in my 55 Ford down the main drag bs-ing with guys in a car next to us. Guy behind us got annoyed. Eventually, he passed me on the right, cut me off, and clipped my front fender.

We both went down a side street. We pulled over. I jumped out, and he immediately grabbed me by the throat in a choke hold.

My friend jumped from the passenger seat, on to the driver's door, and knocked the guy down. Police came, and we all went to the local police station.

I was all set to place charges until the desk Sargent saw the other guy and greeted him like an old friend.

I decided not to press charges.

I'd been looking at a '55 (no Fairline trim) that had been restored and it was going to about 40K...thought IT was a great deal, but this one takes the cake (if they would simply drop the rear spring shackles back to the stock setting, the car would have been fine).

Doesn't this 55 belong to a forum member? Seems reasonable.

My father taught me you never picked on the little guy so no, I would not have gone after anyone that size. In high school I was 5'9" and about 130 pounds. So the guy would have had to be at least my size or bigger. But 300 pounds? Even in high school I wasn't THAT dumb.
