Re: 02 with select shift
for an 02, the last 4 digits aren't enough, need 6 due to 32,000 being built. However, since it was shown at the 2001 SEMA show, then vin# would put it under the 10,000 point. 355 was most likely a "Ford" car to begin with and they gave several cars to customizers to redo for the SEMA shows, including the Foose car and some others.
Here's the list I've accumulated that were shown at the 2002 SEMA show:

SHS Canadian Custom
there may have been others at the 2001 SEMA show as the Craigslist ad states this one was shown at.
I do have one picture for "Classic Designs Concept" that may be this car. It's white and would have been an 02. Their website still exists but not the picture of the car anymore. and they are based in Wixom, MI. http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com/
I added a picture of the wheel that may have been used on this custom concept. Think Bruce sent the picture to me way back when. Wheels in the Design Concept picture look very familiar. We were told they came off of Thunderbird show cars but I never made a connection to the CDC car to the ones that Bruce & I picked up... until now.
