  • Lasting beauty

As I approached a light today I found myself behind a Thunderbird.

Caught off guard, I more objectively appreciated the clean lines and overall styling that made this car so appreciated when new. It was the same with my Sports Roadster decades ago and S-Type now. Cars as art.

That it does not look dated all these years later confirms the value of a good line and makes the compromises lots easier to accept.

    Did you buy it?

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

Kind of like I felt in 1961 the first time I saw a Jaguar XK-E Roadster. Just timeless style.

No. The wrong color for me.

I had the hunt pretty much on hold until I got something resolved on another car I am considering but this got the juices flowing again.

          I completely agree.

It was same for me with the E-Type. It took thirteen years to buy my first. It performed as well as it looked.
