After logging in and looking at The Nest home page, I noticed that the most users (1,005) on line perusing The Nest occurred on November 17, 2012. I'm wondering what was going on at that time and what caused that many thunderbird fans to pay The Nest a visit? Was there anything special about that day? Hoping some veteran members can shed some light or opinions.

I know, but have been sworn to secrecy. I am permitted to tell you this much: It has something to do with the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything; Cthulu is not involved; and the dancing man with a limp.

Was that amount of viewers, 1005, significantly different from other days?

Perhaps because it was during one of the "on what date will we reach X thousand members?" contests.

On Nov 17, 2012 There were 1,005 users on TBN. Users are made up of members, guest, search engines, and others. It does not mean that there were 1,005 members on line that day.

Still, I wonder. Is the figure significantly different that particular date than at other times in the period? If so, this thread poses an interesting question.
I've looked at the posts in various forums at that time, without seeing a clue. Except for the membership record contest, when users may have been repeatedly checking in to track it.

                        Re: Nov 17, 2012

I am wondering if the numbers reflect the popularity of our retro thunderbirds. On November 17, 2012 it would have been approximately 7 years since production ended. Somewhat still fresh in everyone's mind. Tbirds were being driven by owners everywhere and if not being driven, they could be found on plenty of used car lots. Today, it's been 12 years since production ended. We've lost some to accidents and some just plain wore out, but there are still a fair amount on the road.

Following that "logic" then, did popularity peak in November of 2012?
