Re: Makes 6 times now
The fellow that ran into the rear of my T Bird came over and fixed it himself. He had told me he had been a body repairman before he got the job he has now. Deal... if he fixed it I would not go to his company insurance. Deal done everyone is happy. Cannot tell it was ever hit. He replaced the chrome strip and all around my license plate with a new part he purchased himself.

Re: Makes 6 times now
Hey James. I feel your pain, but mine is worse.
I think I have posted my tale of woe before, but it bears repeating. I pulled into the drive-thru lane at an In-n-Out Burger, to celebrate my birthday (I have no life). I pulled in behind a tall wide Jeep of some sort. Big as a house. My Mistake: I pulled in DIRECTLY behind her. The young girl driver decided that she was going to get out of line and park her car. She looked in her rearview mirror, saw nothing, and backed up quickly. Quickly enough to ride half-way up my hood. My car was in the shop 3 weeks waiting for parts (apron, grille, hood).
So, here is my friendly advice to all of you: if you can, park "wide" of the vehicle ahead of you, not directly behind, so that the driver can see your headlight in his/her mirror. DRIVE WITH YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON ALL THE TIME. Had I done both of these, more than likely she would not have backed over me.

The best trophies are miles on the odometer, stone chips in the paint, dead bugs on the windshield, and the occasional smell of manure.
