  • Hard Tonneau Cover?

    Hey folks,
I'm going to be picking up this weekend a two piece hard tonnoeau cover for my red 04' bird. Does anyone know how they get installed? I'm getting this cover from an estate sale and the owners are not here to show me. Any ideas

Each style has its unique fastening system . Some covers are two piece, there are a couple one piece designs and there is a waterfall design (a piece that is attached to the cover and fills the verticle space between the seats.

I have a two piece tonneau cover from Powersports and may still have the instructions. I'll have a look through the parts bin on the weekend.

Mine was made by a company in Las Vegas I think. I had to get a pair of 18" seatbelt buckles to clip the steaps into to hold down the front.

What does it look like? Pictures?

It's not complicated if you also have the hardware that goes with it. The cover may already have small brackets attached to it if the previous owner actually used it. You'll need to drill holes in the interior side panels to attach handles that will slip over the brackets and hold down the tonneau. Pictures of what you have would help.

                Hi :
I am getting a hard tonneau being shipped from the manufacturer to my house in Boston area this week. I will be getting a photo of where the brackets are supposed to be installed. I will send you a copy of the info that I receive. If you figure it out before then please let me know how you installed it. As I think that not a lot of info comes with it.

Good Luck and keep me posted.

                Best,
