I have never done drugs but I'm beginning to think this Thunderbird must be the bad acid trip I've heard mentioned.

In My Humble Opinion just about any piece of bling removed from this car would be an improvement.

It would be a bugger to repaint.

Use it for the remake of Thelma & Louise.

It looks like its masked off, ready to paint. It might be ready to go down the Country Squire line for the wood panel installation as well.

I am thinking this one currently on Ebay. ( Not mine) might actually be worse

I always try to play the Devil's Advocate on these kind of things (Chevy/Ford V-8 into a 1953 Austin Healey?). If the car was totally destroyed beyond any semblance of repair other than parts, I give my OK to do whatever you want. Clearly, he knew what he was doing. Like I said, I just hope that is was a non-salvageable '57, and not a good car, as there are a finite supply of them, and he would have just reduced that supply by ONE.

The best trophies are miles on the odometer, stone chips in the paint, dead bugs on the windshield, and the occasional smell of manure.

That 57 looks like a George Barris creation

That 57 looks to me like it could have been done in 58 or 59.

Add says it was not done by Barris ,but in his style

I like it better than the first one, "too much chrome". It looks like it came straight out of an AMT 3in1 model kit. Very '50s.

While I agree the value and marketability of this car has likely been cut in half there is an artistry, sensitivity and understanding of the original design lacking in most "personalizations" that is present in this one. Other than the tail pipes which proclaim themselves a bit much, I find it is a beautiful flowing work and period correct in its styling.
