Re: Parking lot problems
Some people are just rotten drivers and rotten parkers. Dents and dings aren't always intentional or malicious.
For example, what do you do when you return to your parked car and find that someone has parked so close to you that you can't get your driver's side door open? And suppose that the passenger door is similarly blocked?
The last time this happened to me I waited for the other driver to return to their car and automatically assumed that they just didn't bother to 'park within the lines.' When I asked why they had parked that way, and left no room for me to enter my car, they said that they had to part that way because ANOTHER car had not parked 'within the lines.'
People tend to be pretty impatient these days, and everyone has something on their mind that's a higher priority than 'parking lot etiquette.' If you're in a hurry or perhaps have an emergency, you're probably not thinking about how your lousy parking job creates problems for others.
Just the way of the world, and in the overall scheme of things, a pretty minor problem.
