  • Catalytic Converter For an '02

    Does anyone have any idea of where top source a catalytic converter for an '02? A friend of a friend is in need of one and has tried Ford, the internet, etc., with no luck. I would not have thought that they would be specific to one or just a few car models, but apparently that is the case. Thanks!

    Should have done my homework and searched TBN first. I found some great info in previous posts that I passed on. Thanks to those who provided the info previously. TBN is clearly the penultimate resource for our retro needs, as if we didn't already know that.

      Try Rock Auto. I have bought a cat converter from them for my Suburban and it worked out well. http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/f...converter,5808

        I think Ron had success on eBay as well. If TBN is the penultimate source for information, what would be the ultimate source?

          Good luck twice with Ebay. Both were on 2003's with the three cats for under three hundred dollars with free shipping.

              Best not to use the big words unless you know their meaning. Word for the day
              penultimate.

                I think every one got my point. The ultimate, second to none, premier, second to none retro TBird source, etc., etc.

                  Wouldn't FORD be the ultimate source? That doesn't mean that they would be the easiest to get the information from.

                    By golly, I believe we have a winner.

                        Many people use 'penultimate' to mean 'the very last' or 'the very best. ... The pen- part of penultimate is simply the Latin prefix that means “almost,”

                          Then many people are incorrect.

                            Ultimate = last
                            Penultimate = next to last
                            Antepenultimate = next to next to last
