Looking for something to "renew" the look of my 03 black soft top. Have used 303 Protectorant in the past, but as I recall, after using it, the top did not look much different. Looking for a product to restore some of the original dark black color. Any ideas?

Duke, Ragg Topp is what I've been using from day one. Recommended by the maker of our tops.

Has anyone used anything that makes the wear marks from the top frame look less prominent? I didn't care for the 303 product, didn't seem to look any better and took hours to remove the over-spray from the paint.

I totally agree with what other have said about Ragg Topp. First, clean the top with Ragg Topp Cleaner, then use the Ragg Topp Protectant spray. A duo that can't be beaten!

Ragtop is a nice product. I have use both it and the 303.

However, if your top is faded and not just dirty, you will need to follow a different path. I had another black top that faded. I fixed it using a black fabric spray dye.

Be careful of overspray...I actually covered my latest roof with bed sheets and used painters tape to hold it all together when I applied the West Marine waterproofed. Use the same approach when applying fabric dye. Then, seal it with the 303 or Raggtop, or the West Marine fabric waterproofed.

            Thanks

Yes, I have a "Sand" top and can't get it clean........I"m going to need to color it. I"m assuming I'll have to go darker (maybe to Merlot) and in my research have not found anything that I'm confident will do the job.

I don't want to pay a lot of money, put in a lot of work and just make things worse.

I could ruin a perfectly good top that looks like hell. I'd rather "suffer" with it than ruin it.........But with all the "tan" convertible tops out there, I'm totally surprised there aren't product that work?

For restoring, I would give RaggTopp a shot, for keeping the top looking new, 303. 303 is not going to change the look of the top, it won't get the marks from the frame out, it won't clean the top and it won't restore the top. It is what it says on the "can", a protectant. Spray it on, brush it in using a circular motion with a hard bristled brush, let it dry and your top will stay looking factory new. Scared the heck out of me the 1st time I used it, worked up to this white froth, it settled in, dried a bit and the top still looks like it did in 2003. Be extremely careful not to get it on the paint, it's a bear to get off.
