  • Looking for X brace info

This isn't a new topic and the nest has changed a lot so I can't find my topic which was the x braces and the torque needed to tighten them. Any help is appreciated. I think the last input was from Brad. I will name this "new" topic, "Looking for X brace info".

You may want to see this thread. It states that the correct torque spec is 46 ft lb.

46 ft/lb and done with all four wheels on the hoist, have the car put on a “ramp” hoist or over a pit, not on a hoist that lifts from the jacking points.

There's also a much smaller x brace under the engine

The website charm.il has the Thunderbird manual, that will have information with diagrams on many repairs. It has most makes and models manuals and is a no cost site. You may want to check there as well.
