Thanks! I took this picture of my Pacific Coast Roadster (#189) last summer in front of the south wing of St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Dallas TX. The church itself has been almost fully virtual since March so there wasn't any activity but the garden guild has been taking good care of the grounds. I was trying out different photography angles to learn ways to create more interesting views of the car. This is one of about 50 pictures I took that day. Otherwise, there's no special story behind the picture.
The PCR is my second retrobird. My first one was light ice blue 2004 Premium that I stumbled on at a BMW dealer in my neighborhood. I've long been a fan of Tbirds. (I have ambitions to acquire a bulletbird once I retire). I fell in love the LIB and none of the people I rely on to talk me out of doing crazy things stepped up to the bat. They referred to it as my "late blooming midlife crisis." Once I had the bird, I got into researching it, primarily here on TBN and on Dot's website. I began to see other examples at car shows and dealerships and finally came to the conclusion that the PCR was my favorite and set out to get one. I found this one in Tennessee in August of 2019. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep both of them. The LIB is happily ensconced in Fort Worth with another happy owner who isn't a joiner.
