You guys can have a nice little mini-meet if you get Spence & Judy and Phil (FUN X 3) & Judy to be there. It's not that far for Greg (BLACK BEAUTY) & Jane and Stewart (stewbob) & Pat to come for that matter.

Well day one is in the books. Crossed the boarder (legally) at 7:40. Temperature was 34*F when I crossed and in Michigan it got up to 48*F. Ohio made it up to 58*F, traffic through Cincinnati was a little slow but not too bad. The temperature got up to 62*F in Kentucky while Tennessee it was 55*F. The weather and the road couldn’t have been better. I made it to Knoxville Tennessee at 8:40 and checked into a room after 840 miles and 13 hours. Now it’s time for a beer and some wings.

I’ll check in again tomorrow when I stop.

Well I made it to Florida around 6:00. Traffics was heavy through Knoxville and Atlanta but moved well. Stopped and had a great lunch with Issy at Pappasitos, it was great to meet and catch up with him. Nice weather and great roads for the entire trip. I stopped I. lake City for the night and will continue on to Sarasota in the morning. Just a short travel day for me only about 500 miles.

Well after 1,578 miles the flight has landed in Sarasota Florida for a few days before its next leg of the journey. 82*F and sunny and arrived top down. Traffic was heavy but moved along nicely. Time for a cold beer for me and a bath for the bird.

Ted, Fabulous “Cars & Coffee” Car Show tomorrow morning (Saturday) from 8am to 10am at the UTC Mall next to Ford’s Garage. There usually are 200-300 cars there. We will be there with “James Bond”! Why don’t you come on over? Steve and Karen

Just a little update on my Road Trip 2024. Wednesday Old Town in Kissimmee had a Valentine’s Day Convertible Car Show, the turn out was low but it was fun to attend and participate. The interest in the Retro Thunderbird was high, many could not believe that I actually drove the car to Florida and even more amazed that it’s a member of the “Celebrate Forty Eight” group. The sunshine and nice weather is a great break from the winter weather of Northern Ontario.

Remember to make the journey as much of the journey as the destination.
